Description:
JP Sauer 12 gauge made in 1943 with war time eagle over "N" proof marks. Believed to be a Grade 300. Game scene engraved floorplate. All option gun with Southgate ejectors, side clips, cocking indicators and Greener style third fastener. Marked "I" on top lever, rib extension and bottom of forend iron. Perhaps this was Number I in a pair. Tight on face / no loose ribs / no cracks to wood. Chambers are 2 3/4" with Full and Full chokes and 28 1/8" barrels. Auto safety. Weight of the gun is 6 LBS 11 OZ/. Lop is 14". Drop at comb - 1 1/2". Drop at heel - 2 1/2". Shipping is $75. War time German sporting shotguns are scarce.
