This rifle is on an antique receiver.
According to guntweaks,
"The Finnish M28-76 is considered one of the finest models ever produced. As indicated by the name, the M28-76 is a 1976 update to the World War II-era M28 ... Post-war, most Finnish Mosin-Nagants were put into storage but a select few were upgraded and converted to sharpshooting duty, finally culminating with the design of 1976 and thus, the M28-76...Only about 1,000 were imported to the USA.
Forgottenweapons.states that, among the imports, "only abut 10% were made with left-handed stocks."
We find this model to be matching numbers with the barrel, rear sight, and bolt. Our measurements indicate that this rifle has a .308 bore with a -0.5TW on CMP gauge.
No maker, no date on the barrel shank. Professional arsenal original two-stage trigger.
The stamp on the tang of this rifle indicates the DOM as 1896, making this an antique.
Note that there has been a circular arsenal repair on the stock near the raised cheek plate.
