Description:
This is the remains of a Civil War era Enfield P53 musket serial #68 dropped during the Civil War near Alexandria, Louisiana. The tag says " Found on the Old Texas Road 60 miles NW of Alexandria. Louisiana.  This rifle was destroyed by a Union or Rebel soldier, following the battle of Mansfield, La. April 5,1864".  It is mounted on a attractive plaque/board and labeled.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions.  Shipping will be actual cost by insured priority mail with tracking.
