.58 cal, NVSN, 33 inch barrel, finished in the white, walnut stock, correct bayonet, 1861.
Interesting story: metal was obtained by a collector from the Chicago area. No stock but the metal was in the very good condition. Owner had Mr. Zimmerman (at the time working as weapons maintanance at West Point museum) make the stock. Zimmerman even put his own cartouche on the stock
Condition: metal is excellent overall, bore is bright, stock is excellent, excellent mechanically, excellent marks.
