This Rock Island Arsenal U.S. Model 1903 is a right hand bolt action rifle in .30-06 Sprg. Cal. It has a 24 inch barrel. A raised blade front sight and a flip up numbered adjustable middle sight. The butt stock is a smooth grip hardwood pistol grip with a cap. The forearm is a smooth grip hardwood with finger grooves and a barrel band. The barrel is stamped RIA, flaming bomb and 7-13. The floor plate is stamped with the arsenal bomb and NRA. Serial Number 235621 (1917). .30-06 Springfield
