Description:
This gun was used to do research on how much pressure a Pinfire cartridge could withstand. Pinfire guns have long been debated as to the loss of gas through the pin holes therefore decreasing pressure upon discharge of the firearm. Gun writer Steve Helsley had the opportunity to use this gun to test this theory at US Army Yuma Proving Grounds. The gun was featured in the Fall 2003 issue of Der Waffenschmied. Condition is very good with 30-3/4 inch barrels that retain a good amount of Damascus pattern. The frame and sidelocks have toned to a grey color. Mechanics are excellent. Straight grip checkered stocks with cheek piece and ebony grip. Forearm wood has some chips missing.
