#17448 Westley Richards Droplock 12 ga cased
Made circa 1915 . 26" barrels with fitted lumps , 2 3/4" chambers with 1 1/4 oz. proofs, .729" bright bores on both tubes, choked .002" and .008". Walls are .031" and .029", good soldering and 98% blacking. C bolting droplock action tight as a vault, nice crisp trigger pulls, strong timed ejectors, automatic safety. 90% coverage of scroll engraving with a setter on point on the trigger guard bow. Nice stock with good grain at the grip, professionally refinished at some point, 15" LOP over a 1" leather covered pad, drop is 1 ½ " and 2 3/8", cast off 1/2" , weight is 6Lbs 9Oz. It balances at the hinge pin and points nicely. It is cased in the original oak and leather with accessories.
If you are looking to add a droplock to your collection, this is a nice unmolested specimen.
