This is an original and rare late 19th century Whitney Revolver advertising broadside, this is not a reproduction or a re-print. This broadside features Whitney’s new line of handguns, which were introduced after the transition from percussion firearms, and the need to replace percussion conversion guns was realized. The advertisement is single sided and features prominently at the top “WHITNEY REVOLVERS” and the introduction of Whitney’s nine Metallic Cartridge Revolving Pistol.
This broadside is in very fine condition and retains distinct imagery and text with very small edge tears as you can see in the photos. The broadside measures 22” high x 17” wide and is in a heavy plastic sleeve. This rare Whitney broadside would be an excellent addition to a Whitney Revolver Collection!
