Walther P38 Mod HP serial 2529, original early model with eagle N.
An all Original HP with all matching numbers, the checked grips are "NOT" original to gun but
are excellent fit perfect, no cracks or breaks, only very mild scratches near the hold open lever.
The bore has excellent lands and grooves, no pitting. The mechanism is excellent,
with tight and smooth action with the hammer working in the proper manner.
As stated in the P38 book, the rear of the front sight was sometimes painted white.
Only the most extreme high spots lack the high polish blue, mainly front sides of slide.
The rear sight also has blue wear but the rest of gun retains more than 95% of high polish.
(Dings and scratches), There is a visible scratch on the left side of barrel, the right side of the
slide has mild to moderate scratches with one noticable ding an inch ahead of the slide serrations.
To sum it up, gun shows some very mild holster wear and "possibly" no firing, highly collectible.
