Winchester Model 1894 XTR Big Bore in .375 Winchester. The Winchester Big Bore is a lever-action repeating rifle built on a strengthened version of the Model 94. This was done to accomodate the extra pressure generated from cartridges such as the .375 Winchester. It has a 20-inch round barrel and full-length tubular magazine. It is finished in standard blue and has a straight stock. The .375 Winchester is a modernized version of the original black powder .38-55 Winchester. It was introduced in 1978 along with the Winchester Model 94 "Big Bore" lever action rifle, which was in production from 1978 until 1986. The cartridge is effective for a variety of medium to large game species such as whitetail, pronghorn, caribou, elk, moose, black bear, and brown bear. .375 Winchester
