Description:
Listed is a petite single shot hammer rifle made in Germany around the turn of the century. Fully stocked out to the end of the barrel with a buffalo hornend cap. Metal butt plate has a three bullet trap. Flip up tang peep sight . Caliber is in the German 8.15 x 46R Schuetzen round used for small game and target shooting in Germany at that time. Basically a 30/30 necked up to 32 caliber. They used lead bullets loaded to mild pressures exclusively in this round in 150 to 180 grains. I have taken whitetail deer with this caliber. The rifle has had a refresh of the wood and barrel reblued. Bore is good with strong rifleing. This rifle is very petite like carrying a small .22 rifle yet powerful enough for up to Whitetail deer. Cases, bullets and dies are readily available through Buffalo Arms.
