Oberndorf Mauser Type S factory sporting rifle manufactured in 1931 with a 20" barrel with a banded ramp front sight, banded sling swivel/barrel tie down, and island rear sight with two folding leaves. Standard round top intermediate receiver with a Lyman 48 receiver peep sight, double set triggers, lever floorplate release, and the rarely seen Greener type Mauser safety. All numbers including all small parts and stock are matching. Pistol grip full length stock with cheekpiece, steel grip cap, and mid-stock and forend tip schnables. LOP is 14 7/8" over a Mauser logo horn buttplate. Weighs in at 7lb 12oz
This is an extremely nice all original and unmolested factory Mauser sporting rifle in overall 90% condition in a great caliber and with the rarely seen Greener style safety. A prize for any serious Mauser collector.
