Made in 1947 an LC Smith Field Grade .410 with 28" armor steel barrelw with extractors, 3" chambers and the choke reads as best as I can tell .015/.010 (the choke gauge is not the best). The action has strong case coloring and is tight with the barrels on face and top lever resting right of center. This gun has a fantastic feeling miller single trigger set in the rear trigger position, I do not know if this trigger was a special order from the factory or done after the fact but the trigger plate has one single slot cut in the middle of the plate that fits the Miller trigger very well. The stock is in very good condition with no sign of any of the typical LC Smith cracks behind the locks or near any of the wings. The gun had a pad installed when I got it but the stock had not been cut or shortened so I had a gunsmith put a correct LC Smith style butt plate on and fit it to the stock. The LOP is a little tricky because the Miller trigger is in the rear position and the LOP is measured off the front trigger, while the true LOP is about 14 1/8 - 14 1/4" the physical reading to the rear positioned trigger is 13 1/2" LOP. The drop is 1 1/2" to 2 3/4." Overall a very rare gun in high original condition and a great shooter. The only blemishes are some patina on the barrels near the breach on the right and left side and a small area on the top tang as seen in the pictures.
