Description:
This is a crudely finished blade about the same length of a standard 98/05 bayonet. This example is unsharpened with a 363mm blade, finished bright with light oxidation. These were unmarked, this one is proof marked on the spine. The guard is forward-swept with oxidation and no markings. The all steel handle with 9 grooves and cleaning hole are in very good+ condition with some of the original field gray paint. The scabbard is all steel with most of the field gray pain still intact. There is a split in the very end which extends 2 3/4". This is a nice example of this variation bayonet, will fit 71, 71/84, 88, 98 rifles.
