Description:
This is a full box, 50 original rounds, of .38 Long Rim Fire Rifle ammunition manufactured by Winchester. The circa late 1880's box has the incorrect Stetson's Patent date of Oct. 24, 1871 and was produced by Winchester specifically for the Model 1885 single shot rifle. In very good condition the primary label has very nice deep blue color and clear graphics with some mild staining and flaking with the side label mostly intact but faded on and stained on one long side. The box is solid with professional repairs to 2 of the inside top corners. The cartridges are in excellent condition.
