Two stage steel lock with a very strong spring producing a shower of sparks. .50 caliber, walnut stock, original ivory tipped ramrod, silver escuncheon and furnishings. The case is white oak with burl walnut veneer, powder flask and about 12 balls included. Gun is 8 inches long overall. There is a small crack in the stock to the right of the tang and a couple of small dings to the stock at the left of the tang - otherwise in outstanding and very original condition. there is no pitting or evidence of surface rust. this gun is absolutely fireable, but needs to be checked by your gunsmith before doing so.
