Merkel 280SL Sidelock Ejector, Special Edition of 100 game scene engraved guns, 28 Bore, 5 lbs. 10 oz., 2 3/4" chambers, 28" fluid steel barrels with a raised concave machined game rib, rib engraved "No 44 of 100", choked .013 Mod and .034 Full, sidelock action in coin finish with hunting game scene hand engraving depicting on the left side a desert landscape with Gambel's quail with dog and shooter, on the right a scene with hunter, dog and dove, engraving signed by master engraver Olaf Weiß (Weiss), cross-bolt, cocking indicators, disc-set strikers, automatic safety, double triggers, splinter forend, highly figured European walnut stock, 14 5/16" LOP over a butt plate, 1 5/16" DAC, 2 3/8" DAH, 1/8" cast off, straight grip. Excellent condition showing little use. Comes with the early Merkel leather luggage case.
