Made 1864-1870 3 ¼” barrel six shot, brass frame with silver plate finish. Barrel and cylinder blued. Walnut grips Birds head butt Barrel markings : MOOR’S PAT.FIREARMS CO. BROOKLYN,N.Y. Cylinder marked: D. WILLIAMSON’S PATENT/JAN.5.1864 Daniel Moore and David Williamson designed the special teat-fire cartridge to circumvent the Rollin White patents. Moore was a serious competitor to Smith & Wesson and because of their strong sales record the company was Purchased by Colt in 1870 Condition: 3 ¼” nice bore with very minor pitting and still showing strong rifling. Blued metal finish has faded and turned to an attractive antique looking gun-metal grey. All serial numbers are matching and barrel markings are clear and legible. Original walnut grips are in good condition with a couple very small chips , the usual wear and tear for a revolver of this age. Both grips are numbered to the gun.
