"Freund Brothers marked Whitney rolling block rifle. Very scarce and desirable rolling block. Freund brothers were frontier gunsmith that were out of Denver and Durango. While they are most famous for their Sharps rifles, they sold numerous other guns. All of their guns are considered to be used on the western frontier. The book Freund Bros. Pioneer Gunmakers to the West by Pablo Balentine comes with this gun. This is a great western piece and guaranteed original!
