Description:
Victor Sarasqueta Pre-War 2-Barrel Set Sidelock in 12 Gauge. The serial number is 11048. The shotgun features include double under lug and third bite locking, hinged front trigger and ejectors. It has full coverage engraving featuring vignette on the right lock of setter and quail and a second vignette of waterfowl. The left lock features a vignette of hounds and elk and another of 2 quail. The floorplate features a stag and 2 prairie chickens. The bolsters have flying doves and the trigger guard has a pointer. The balance of the receiver, forearm iron and breech end of both barrels have fine scroll engraving. The top lever, forearm tip and breech of both barrels are marked with gold no. 2 indicating this was the second gun of a 2-gun set. Splinter forearm with Anson release and round knob stock of fine European walnut. Features include point pattern hand checkering; tear drop points and oval nameplate in the toeline. The stock has a filled hole for sling swivel attachment. Both barrels have swivel bases only. 12 Gauge
