Description:
Victor Sarasqueta Model 214D in 12 gauge. Boxlock Game Gun with deep relief engraved 12 gauge and 20 gauge barrels. Coin finished boxlock action features automatic safety, hidden third fastener, sideclips, vented strikers and double triggers. Action is engraved with sprays of scroll. Triggerplate is stamped "Patent No. 46255" "EDER". Fences are deep relief carved with acanthus and scroll. Trigger guard with scroll on bow is marked "MD 214D" on tang. Newly made straight grip buttstock of relatively plain European walnut measures 14 1/4" over checkered wood butt. Point pattern checkering is on semi diamond hand. Each bbl. set has its own matching splinter forend with Anson release. The 12 Gauge barrels are 27 3/8 inches. They are Dovetailed and are marked with maker's name and crowned logo on matted game rib. Rear portions of barrels are relief engraved for the first 2 1/2" with large arched acanthus surrounding scenes of standing ibex. The barrel flats are stamped with pre 1927 Spanish Nitro proofs. A sling loop is soldered to bottom rib. The 20 gauge barrels are 31 5/8 inches. They have the maker's name and logo marked on the rib. The flats are stamped with 1927 Spanish proofs for 20 ga. 2 3/4". The stock has a LOP of 14 1/4 Inches, a DAH of 2 3/8 inches, and a DAC of 1 1/4 inches. The Cast is approximatey 1/4 inch off. 12 Gauge
