Description:
Serial #1445, .41 RF, 4" barrel with a very good bore that has mild freckling within the grooves. This pistol has matching numbers on the frame and barrel, with the metal retaining 80-85% of the original nickel finish, with some mottled gray brown freckling on either side of the frame around the breechblock pin. The split-breech rolling block hammer and block retain about 40-50% of the original bright fire blue, with the balance faded to a dull plum-brown patina. The unnumbered walnut grips are in very good-fine shape, with scattered small handling marks and blemishes in the original varnish on both panels. The lock-up is tight, and the action is fully functional. This is a fine example of a desirable Remington big-bore vest pocket pistol, and would make a great addition to any collection. Antique
