Marlin 1897 .22 LR. Serial 228002 has a 24-inch octagon barrel (blade front sight, full-length magazine tube, elevation-adjustable rear sight). DIMENSIONS: Weight is 6.2 pounds and the length-of-pull is 13.25 inches. CONDITION: The bore has browned yet rifling remains strong and viable. Barrel condition/finish is approximately 50 percent with thinning/browning and a lifetime of dings. Receiver has browned with some tarnish. Wood is at least 50 percent and the butt plate is very good. Mechanically, feeding/firing/extraction is very good. Ejection is weak. The price is firm. $1,000 plus shipping.
