This is the improved model of the 1885 carbine boot. It is longer and has a brass reinforced throat base. This carbine boot is in nice service condition. The Rock Island Arsenal stamp is clear and fully visable. The leather condition is very sericeable with no rot or deteriation. The stiching is sound and tight. The straps are intact with no damage or repairs. The body is in great form with no poor storage crushing. The "boot" shows field use and wear but is in very nice condition. This Cavalry boot will show very well for the military collector of Indian Wars artifacts. Search for hlvfineguns on google for more details.
