This is a 1944 Izhevsk original PU sniper rifle. This PU Sniper 91/30 was imported by Tulsky. Matching numbers include receiver, barrel shroud, bolt, magazine floorplate, and buttplate. This serial number of 7466 is also elctropenciled on the scope mount. The scope serial number is also elctropenciled on the scope mount. Please see pictures.
The stock is an original PU stock with wartime escutcheons.
Our research indicates this scope to be a Factory #357 NKV Leningrad/Omsk, formerly known as "Progress," scope. Markings find the DOM to be 1943. There are no markings to indicate that the scope has been refurbished. Scope cover (as well as original scope packaging paper), scope caps, and sling are included.
The bore of this rifle is bright and shiny with no signs of pitting, rust, or frost. It is an excellent bore that passes the bullet test at the muzzle with flying colors. PU rifles such as this do not come for sale often!
Cleaning rod is present. We'll also include the original cardboard from the original purchaser.
