Colt Sauer Sporting Rifle chambered in 7MM Remington Magnum. J.P. Sauer's Sporting Rifle was marketed in the US through Colt. These are known for their smooth cycling, short bolt travel, and 60° throw angle due to their flapper locking bolt lugs at the rear of the bolt. Colt Sauers are dressed in a fine American walnut stock with 18-line hand checkering and a high-gloss finish. A rosewood forend and grip cap add intrigue, while the deep bluing is an art to behold. The 7mm Remington Magnum bucks wind efficiently, is flat shooting and has relatively tolerable recoil. It is especially popular for big-game hunting in Western Canada and in the United States, for plains game in Africa, and mountain hunting around the world.
