Description:
Serial #31201, .22 Short, 24 inch octagonal barrel with a bright, excellent bore. This is the Model 1890 Second model take down slide action rifle manufactured by Winchester in 1894. The classic pump rifle has ben fully and professionally restored featuring beautiful case-hardening color on the frame, trigger guard and butt plate. The barrel and magazine tube retain about 98-99% of the professional re-blue with still strong markings on the barrel. The frame shows virtually all 99% of the vibrant case colors with the trigger guard and butt plate have slightly muted color. The walnut stock and forearm are likewise in excellent refinished condition with some very minor use and storage blemishes and an inch long scratch on the right side of the stock, the wood appearing to have been cleaned and refinished not sanded. The type on the barrel appears very legible and appears to have been retraced. The loading slot on the magazine tube appears to be the larger 22 LR size. It has a tight, smooth action. An outstanding refinished antique take down Winchester 1890 that would take center stage in many collections. Antique
