Description:
24 inch octagon barrel. The bore is near bright with substantial rifling having mild pitting in the grooves. Sights include German silver blade front and a tip-up rear having a broken leaf. Under barrel manual ejector. The case hardened cast iron frame now appears a mottled gray brown. Matching numbers on barrel & frame. Was originally dual ignition with the breechblock and hammer having been modified to accommodate the now fixed firing pin hammer. Walnut stocks show wear and handling marks. Crescent shaped steel butt plate.
