*** SALE PENDING *** ON LAYAWAY *** One of the rarest of the late production guns, is this 1977 Savage 99C (serial # C388283) in 308 Winchester with a 24" octagon barrel, remaining new and unfired in as close to mint as your are going to get condition. In 1970 Savage brought out the 75th Anniversary model, calling it the 1895 75th Anniversary Commemorative, even though they were quite different from the original 1895s, especially being offered in the 308 Winchester. There were approximately ten thousand Commemoratives produced, only in 1970. A very small number of 99Cs exist with the 24" octagon barrel, assuming they were produced from left over 75th Anniversary barrels.
