Description:
This massive unique short lived weapon was adopted by Bavaria in 1869, an invention of Johann-Ludwig Werder’s who also deisgned a Werder rifle. This was a brilliant piece of engineering, offering an automatically ejecting falling-block system with a remarkably high effective rate of fire and a wonderfully modular system of parts. Removing a single trigger guard screw releases the entire breech and fire control system as a self-contained unit for easy maintenance and servicing. The gun for sale is in very good overall condition,with about 70% original blue remaning, matching serial numbers and clear proof marks in the grips and metal. Bore is clean with strong rifling. Action doesnt work. The breech block goes up and down but it doesnt cock the hammer so it doesnt fire. The price, however, reflects that. No license needed to buy except NJ and NYC residents. Will ship international where legal.
