Description:
After 40 years of hunting I have found another true Old West Cattle Drive Cowboy Coffee Pot. A very very very large tin coffee pot.  In good USING condition,  Stands about 14 inches tall to the top of the lid and 17 inches overall to the top of the bail.

The COPPER bottom measures 12 inch in diameter. This Chuckwagon Coffee pot will hold 4 gallon filled to the brim. I would call it a 3 1/2 gallon pot. This is the real deal likely used for the big roundup. This type of pot was sealed tight to keep the dust out. Notice the small tight fitting lid, and the flapper over the spout. In a round up there was dust plenty of dust. This pot was Cooky's pride  and design to keep the dust out. Have you ever heard an old timer say "I'll have another cup of MUD!!!" where do you reckon

that name for coffee came from? Old Cooky wasn't such a bad guy was he? These big old coffee pots simply were used up or just left to rust away. The condition is very good with one light dent, no breaks, no leaks or no cracks. NOTE: the finger handle at the bottom. When using it to pour be sure to use your glove, it's HOT.   A check of old chuck wagon photo scenes will show many coffee pots and most are missing the lid.!!! They bounced off along the trail!!! This tight lid will stay on and keep the dust out.  This extra big pot is for multi ranch roundup and drives to the railhead.
