Description:
30 inch # 3 weight octagon barrel. Barrel is stamped 25-20 SS and has been re-rifled by Pope to 28-30. Globe front with no provision for rear barrel sight with a Pope folding tang sight. Gun is in very fine condition with most all barrel and receiver blue remaining and just starting to thin on the high points. Excellent case color on the hammer and lever. Wide double set triggers that function correctly. Under the barrel is Pope number 527. Left flat is stamped "J. T. S." Straight grain walnut shows a few handling mars but retains most original varnish. Nickle plated Swiss buttplate. Nice little gun.
