Presented for consideration is a beautiful and fine Merkel 203 EL over/under sidelock shotgun in 12 gauge. Merkel is highly regarded as one of the finest firearms in the world. The 30" barrels have excellent bores, 3" chambers, vent rib with bead and mid bead sights and are choked full and IM. The trigger is a single selectable. The receiver is highly embellished by hand by master craftsmen and almost all screw heads are engraved. The forend is of the 3 piece style and finely checkered. The English style stock is checkered and has some carving done at the wrist. The action is smooth and solid. This fine gun weighs in at just under 7 lbs. The single trigger is selectable. Length of pull is 14" - drop at comb is 1 1/2" - drop at heel is 2 1/4". The inlaid brass initial plaque has been engraved. This fine Merkel would make a very sleek and nimble field that is as good as anything else available and would be an excellent investment.
