Description:
For sale is a Marlin 1895 Century Limited in 45-70 Caliber. This is an as NIB unfired rifle in excellent condition. These rifles wer manufactured in 1995 to commorate the 100 year of Marlins 1895 model with a limit of only 2500 made.
This rifle has a French Grey engraved receiver with a half round half octagon 24" blued barrel. This rifle is unfired and is in NIB condition. The pictures tell the story. It has the sought after JM proof mark stamp on the left shoulder of the barrel. The left side of the receiver has an engraved bear with a banner displaying "MODEL 1895 / 100TH ANNIVERSARY" and Bottega C Giovanelli (engraving designer) at the bottom.
The right side of the receiver features the Marlin horseback rider and is marked "MARLIN FIREARMS CO 125TH ANNIVERSARY". The top of the receiver has foliate engraving with "MARLIN SAFETY" in the center. The serial number is on the upper tang and is 18950772.
The left side of the barrel is stamped "THE MARLIN FIREARMS CO. NORTH HAVEN, CT. USA" * * * * Model 1895CLTD. CAL.45/70 Tth right side of the barrel is stamped with Marlin's two line warning.
It features a semi-buckhorn rear sight that has a reversable insert with a "U" notch on one side and a "V" notch on the otherand a white diamondaim point in the center with a brass bead front sight. The receiver is also drilled tapped and filled for a scope mount. This rifle also has a foldable peep site with elevation adjustment mounted on the upper front of the butt stock.
The stocks are a two-piece checkered walnut with an oil finish, capped forearm, pistol grip straight comb and blue cresent but plate with the Marlin bullseye in the bottom of the butt.
This is another one of those "must have" rifles for any Marlin collector. It will be double boxed to protect the original box and will ship insured for $90.
I also have a 1894 Century Limited for sale that can be bought with this one as a set if you are interested and quick enough to get them both.
