Description:
"NSN, .58 caliber 33"" round barrel South Carolina marked Remington 1841 Mississippi rifle. Doesn't get better than this hard used Confederate issued rifle. Metal is a smooth brown patina with heavy surface oxidation noted at the nipple. A unique nipple covered has been added with using a Minne Ball. Wood shows some heavy ""combat"" wear and usage. Brass pieces are an even untouched patina. The butt-plate has the South Carolina flag over S.C. action needs a little attention as it will not hold full cock. Bayonet lug has been removed and ramrod is missing. Period repair is noted at the wrist.
