Here we have a Birmingham England W & C Scott and Sons finest gun from 1879, their Premier Quality top lever hammer gun.  This gun has been fully restored to new condition in England and has been lightly handled and shot since.  The gun weighs 6 pounds 9 ounces and is a superb example of guns of the time.  Full coverage tiny English scroll engraving adorns the case-colored action, all the screws are perfect, clocked, and nitre blued.  The beautiful Damascus barrels have mirror bores and are English proofed for modern 2 1/2" shells (still in proof), with mirror bores, 30" in length, tight ribs, truly superb in every way.  The wood on the gun is exhibition quality English walnut, finished in a hand-rubbed English oil root finish, checkering near perfect, as is the wood to metal fit.  The fine English leather covered pad brings the length of pull to 14 3/4" and is fitting of the quality of this gun.  Built in 1879, the gun is an antique, but fully capable of being shot and carried afield with modern 1 1/8 ounce 2 ½ inch shotshells, which we have in stock.  If you want a really stunning representation of the Best English antique hammer gun from a renowned maker, this would be a great gun to display in your gun room, carry afield, or to the club for some proper clays.  This is a rare and superbly restored hammer gun able to be shipped to any address you specify.  Don’t miss out!
