Description:
Manufactured in 1938, first year of series Colt Woodsman Match Target with low collectable 3 digit serial number!. Features a 6.5" barrel fitted with a Kelly blade front sight and fully adjustable Micro rear sight. Two line Colt address stamped on the top of the barrel, target logo and "MATCH TARGET" stamped on the left side of the frame in front of "THE WOODSMAN". "COLT/AUTOMATIC/CAL. 22 LONG RIFLE" stamped on the left side of the slide in front of the rampant Colt trademark. Serial number is stamped on the bottom of the grip frame reflecting production in 1938. Blued finish with matte top barrel. Left side slide safety. Fitted with factory Colt checkered walnut "elephant ear" wrap-around grips. Heel magazine release. Includes a Colt factory two-tone 10 round magazine, stamped on base "COLT WOODSMAN/CAL. 22 L.R./MATCH TARGET MOD.". Comes in the non matching Colt box with factory paperwork. CONDITION: Retains 85% finish with most wear at the muzzle and on the back strap. Shows some light scratches and handling marks. Good bore and mechanics. Grips are worn in the checkering from handling and show faint dings. Box does show wear. CALIBER: .22 LR. S/N: MT249.
