Description:
Selling a Finished, Checkered Figured Walnut Fore End with Schnabel Fore End Tip that looks to be for a Browning Single Shot Rifle.
It is 12 inches long and is 1 ½ inches wide at the butt end and tapers to 1 3/8 inches at the tip but widens out to 1 ½ inches at the Schnabel tip. It is 1 ½ inches high at the butt end.
It is made for an octagon barrel and it is 1 3/16 inches across at the butt end and tapers to 1 3/32 inches across at the tip end. The octagon barrel flats measure ½ inches across.
There is a 3/8 inch wide channel in the bottom that is 6 ½ inches from the butt end to circular end toward the tip and is 1/2 inch deep at the butt end and 3/8 inches deep at the tip end.
There are two mounting holes on the bottom of the fore end. One is 1 inch from the butt end and the second hole is 5 inches toward the tip, ie, 5 inches apart.
There are two end holes in the butt end that are 7/8 inches apart.
Wood is inletted at the rear, left side of the fore end.

The fore end is not marked and is in excellent plus condition with no chips or cracks. The checkering is perfect.
