Original Antique US Springfield MoModel 1884 45-70 Trapdoor armr rifle. Full length 32.5" barrel with correct front and rear sights and markings. Full length two band walnut stock with dated cartouche and circle p fireing cartouche. The stock is in good condition showing normal wear and scattered dents from use. The metal is a mix of smooth grey brown color. The bore is clean with good rifling. The breach block is marked US Model 1884. The dated cartouche and serial number range match. The lock is marked US Springfield with the American eagle. The breach block and lock are tight and crisp. Overal a good clean functioning Springfield trapdoor.
