Description:
Chinese Type 53 7.62x54R 20.4" barrel Rifle made in China in 1955 and imported by Century Arms. These carbine rifles were built under the license of Mosin Nagant and it features bolt action firing, internal 5 round magazine, tangent rear sight, hooded post front sight, straight grip military stock, blued finish, sling loop, and folding bayonet. The finish is in decent shape but does show some signs of age related use/wear and rust speckling. The serial number on the bolt does not match the numbers on the receiver, barrel, and the trigger guard. The rifle works as it should with a smooth action. The barrel has sharp rifling with very minor frosting. The 296 marking indicates that this was made in the Chonquing factory. Great rifle for any collector!
