CIVIL WAR BURNSIDE .54 CAL. PERCUSSION CAVALRY SADDLE RING CARBINE. 21” barrel. Lock plate stamped “BURNSIDE RIFLE CO/PROVIDENCE, R.I.” Military inspector stamps on metal parts and nice Ordnance cartouche on left side of stock wrist. All original with dark and crisp metal with good markings. Wood with the original finish. Letter “H” on both sides of butt. Working order and exceptional bore with original bright polish and extra sharp rifling. Best bore we have seen on one of these in a long time. All original.
