Description:
Baker "B" Grade SN4645

This Baker Gun is a “B” grade 10 bore with 32” fine twist barrels bored ???. It is in very good original condition. The action retains the original glossy finish, but the case colors have all drifted brown. Likewise with the barrels which have 98% original finish but have turned an even brown.  Barrels have excellent bores and are free of dents, bulges, or other flaws. Especially noted is the quality of the engraving done by Kronbrath which normally bring a premium. The restrained pattern sports beautifully executed dogs on the lock plates- a setter on the left side and a pointer on the right.  The butt stock and fore-end are in very good condition with sharp checkering, untouched original varnish, and only the most minor handling marks. The original “Baker Gun & Forging Co.” butt plate appears almost new. The gun weighs in at about 8 lbs. DC is 1 5/8” and DH 2 ½”.
