Description:
A nice Springfield cavalrymusketoon with sharp edges and chain conversion. Lug under barrel is for the chain conversion and not for the swivel ramrod. Ramrod is threaded at bottom and chain will slip off there. The chain is made of iron. Barrel isn't rifled and a rear sight never installed.
Barrel has correct proofs and date. Smooth brown patina. Wood has very sharp edges and cartouche isn't visible due to saddle wear. Backside of stock has light, small HN initials carved there. Brass is nice. This is a unique musketoon. Free Shipping.
