Description:
Custom Flintlock Rifle by the famed west coast builder, the late Andrew Fautheree (1939-2014). 50 Cal Bill Large Barrel measures 41 1/2" x 15/16" (0.950") with a 1:60 or 1:66 rate of twist. Barrel is marked W. M. Large 51080. 14 3/4" length of trigger pull, 58 3/4" overall length, 3 3/4" drop at the heel. Russ Hamm flintlock lock. Double set triggers. Brass and German silver furniture. Curly Maple stock looks to be about a CM3. Rifle is more than 25 years old. Has sights that we believe are sights manufactured and marketed in the past by Andrew. Relief carving and engraved. Andrew was featured in Muzzle Blasts as Gunmaker of the Month in September 1978 (photos attached).
