Description:
Frank Burton 45 Caliber Flintlock rifle. GR Douglas barrel measures 43" x 13/16" with a bright, shiny bore. 59 1/4" overall length, 14 1/2" length of trigger pull, 3 1/4" drop at the heel. Single action, double set triggers must be set to fire. Unmarked lock has a fly on the inside of the tumbler. 7 lb 14 oz. Burled maple stock. Probably made in the 1970's. Cheek piece and wrist inlays appear to be silver. Kentucky Rifle by Frank Burton. Frank passed many years ago. A builder in the 1970s that was in the same circles with John Bivins, Lew Sanchez, and a young Jim Chambers. Rifle is fully functional.
