Description:
Custom Flintlock Southern Mountain Rifle. New Chamber's Deluxe Siler Lock. New bronze vent liner. Rifle was a percussion, but has just been converted. Curly Maple stock. 40 Caliber Green Mountain barrel with a bright, shiny bore. Barrel is 13/16" x 35 7/8". Rifle is 52 1/2" overall length and weighs just 7 lbs. 3 5/8" drop at the heel. 14" length of trigger pull. Poured pewter nosecap. Browned furniture. Single action double set trigger must be set to cock and fire. Trigger guard looks hand made. Fitted percussion lock and drum available for an extra $200, less than the cost of just the lock alone. Contact me if you want to discuss the procedure to convert back and forth from flintlock to percussion. Toe was cracked and has been repaired. Some minor dents and dings in the stock from normal use. There's a repaired. hairline crack forward of the lock bolt on the sideplate, almost impossible to see. Rifle is fully functional.
