REPRODUCTION cylinder pin for Remington revolvers, Models 1875 and 1890. The cylinder pin for these Remington revolvers had weak points at the exposed tip, consequently many of these cylinder pins were/are broken on original revolvers. Manufacture of these REPRODUCTION cylinder pins was requested by and completed for several collectors/collections of original Remington revolvers. These cylinder pins are like replacements for original/broken pins and retain all the functionality of original cylinder pins. Dimensionally our REPRODUCTION parts closely copy high condition original parts. Tolerance for critical dimensions is within several thousandths of an inch of high condition original parts, often within 0.001”. Target tolerance for non-critical dimensions is similar though not required. Spring tips have a slight bend up, consistent with high condition originals we examined. This makes it easier to depress the spring to remove the cylinder pin. Originals with the spring tip straight or bent down also exist; it is unknown whether this is due to manufacturing variations and/or past use/abuse. Cylinder pin finish is “in the white”.
