Description:
A custom machined tool that provides leverage force to breech seat a lead slug in a Ballard Rifle. This tool is generic to Ballard Actions. It has been quality checked for fit and function in two original Marlin Ballard rifles, a No. 4 Perfection, S/N 21xxx, and a No. 5 Pacific, S/N 31xxx. The fulcrum block that goes into the open action is made of 360 Brass, nominal 0.725” X 1.6”. All other parts are steel.
A second component NOT PROVIDED WITH THIS LEVER TOOL is needed to breech seat bullets. This second component is a solid-filled brass cartridge case (or similar) specific to your rifle caliber and barrel. If you need help with this second component, let's discuss. This custom lever tool can be used with multiple Ballard rifles since the part specific to each rifle/caliber is the solid-filled brass cartridge case. Lever tool is loosely based on a breech seating tool design attributed to George Schoyen. Shipping $15 in US lower 48.
