CASED STEPHEN GRANT SIDE-LEVER SIDELOCK EJECTOR 12 GA. DAMASCUS SIDE X SIDE SHOTGUN CIRCA 1890’S. 30” barrels with 2 ¾” chambers and choked Improved Cylinder and Modified. Center rib engraved “Stephen grant, 67a St. James’s Street, London” and the number “1” for the first gun of an original pair. Double triggers auto safety and cocking indicators. Beautifully restored side lever with exceptional scroll engraving. Barrels browned with nearly all the finish and in as original condition proofed 1 1/8th ounce. Chambers lengthened to 2 ¾”. Locks and frame with grey case hardening. Walnut checkered stock with 15” pull over leather covered pad and 1 ½”- 2 ½” drop. Weight 7 ½ pounds. Excellent plus overall. Very beautifully and expensively restored. Perfect and tight working order and with mint bright bores. With original Grant labeled luggage case. Previously owned by Cyril Adams, noted authority and author of “LOCK, STOCK AND BARREL” on English guns and shooting. With an accompanying letter from him regarding this gun dated 12 Oct. 1992 to the person he sold it to at the time. Also included is a copy of his book.
