BELGIAN SUPERX 12 GA. SIDE X SIDE WATERFOWL SHOTGUN W/BROOKLYN,N.Y. RETAILER STAMP CIRCA 1920’S-1930’S. 32” barrels with 2 ¾” chambers and choked Full and Full. Game scene engraved side plates, cocking indicators, auto safety, side clips, double triggers and extractors. Sling swivels with forward swivel missing. Checkered pistol grip stock with original hard rubber butt plate. 14 ½” pull, 1 ½”-2 ½” drop. Weight 7 pounds 8 ounces. Underside of barrel stamped on lump “P. DONADIO” for Prospero Donadio who was a Brooklyn, New York firearms dealer with his shop located at #11 Skillman Avenue. Very good overall with nearly all the original barrel blue. French grey frame and locks with dark blue-grey finish. Stock refinished with small toe chip and chip missing to rear of right side plate. Very tight working order and mint bores. Accompanied by an internet article on Donadio with a picture of him in front of his shop with one of the windows displaying a rack of 8 long barrel waterfowl doubles that look just like this one. Lots of waterfowl shooters in Brooklyn in those days. $1150.
